Priyanka Poddar
In the middle of the pandemic, Priyanka began baking from her tiny apartment kitchen with a second-hand mixer she found on Facebook Marketplace for $175, and a curiosity about what could happen when the Indian flavors she grew up with met something entirely new.
It started with a desire to reimagine the Indian sweets she grew up loving — transforming nostalgic mithai flavors into playful, modern, baked-not-fried donuts that felt familiar yet completely unexpected.
She didn’t set out to start a bakery. She set out to reimagine what Indian desserts could be.
Six months later, she took the leap, left architecture behind, and began building Knead Some Love NY full-time.
